Candy's has some of the best ice cream in pa! We booked her for my daughters wedding and we could not have found a better ice cream service in south central pa. They were on time,gave generous servings of ice cream, the staff was was friendly and the ice cream selection was more than any other service offered us. I would only choose Candy's for an event. I wish there was a location in lebanon. It is top notch ice cream!
This has become our go to place. The last time there I got... double choc, or death by choc... I can't recall names... but it was the first time in my life ice cream 'smelled'... and I don't mean that in a bad way. I mean it actually had an aroma, and it was an incredibly strong smell of cocoa. That alone was intoxicating... the ice cream was to die for. Their waffle cones are also always fresh and not 3 week stale ones you often get elsewhere. I wish I could give it 10 stars... it may very well be the best I have ever had anywhere.
Best homemade peanut butter ice cream in Berks County! Also love their ice-cream sandwiches. I highly recommend!
Just stopped at this homemade ice cream place. It is amazing! I'm talking just above Ben & Jerry's level! It is so rich and creamy. The almond joy had a mild coconut flavor with dark chocolate bits, almond slices and real shredded coconut through it. Double dark chocolate tasted like a melted chocolate bar and mint fudge cookie had fudge topping and chocolate cookie swirled through mint ice cream that tasted like it was flavored with a mint liquor. DAMN! They also have soft ice cream, Italian ice, ice cream cookie sandwiches, ice cream cakes. They make their own AMAZING waffle cones. Outstanding!
We stopped by at Candy's while traveling through. The ice cream was amazing! We got five waffle cones(black raspberry, tiramisu, cookies&cream, double chocolate) and one coffee espresso milkshake. The place seems to be owned by one family with very friendly staff. This rating is for ice cream quality and taste only. I do not include my view on the interior design and overall atmosphere of this shop.
Friendly quick service, generous portions, unusual flavors of soft ice cream such as vanilla-peanut butter twist! A steady stream of customers, many locals. Limited outdoor seating. Next time, I'll try their homemade ice cream...
We’ve been going to Candy’s for years and it’s always been a consistently great summer treat. The ice cream is amazingly good, the Italian ice tasty, the milkshakes well made, and service is always good. If you’re in the Shoemakersville or Hamburg area and haven’t had Candy’s yet, you need to!
Huge variety of ice cream flavors. Delicious at that. Great prices on all their frozen treats and their small, hot food items. The owner, Candy is always working on their busy nights and is always friendly and knowledgeable. Great place to visit. Especially if you like unique flavors. You can always taste before you order.
